Camp Nicolet for Girls
P.O. Box 1359
Eagle River, Wisconsin 54521
Family-owned and operated, Camp Nicolet for Girls was founded in 1944 by Ann and Wendall Schrader. For more than five decades, the Schraders were leaders in the field of camping and dedicated themselves to providing one of the finest camping programs and facilities in the country; a place where campers learn to live together in friendship and harmony.
Perpetuating the family tradition, Georgianna Schrader Starz and son Jeremy oversee the year-round operation of the camp. Georgi has been the active in camp her whole life, was an ACA Standards Accreditation Visitor for the American Camping Association, President of the ACA Wisconsin Section Board of Directors, and is a Camp Course Instructor for USA Water Ski. Jeremy has his MA degree in Media Arts and oversees Nicolet's Nothpoint Adventures wilderness tripping program, as well as camp facilities. Our Camp Director, Jessica Shannon, oversees the day-to-day operations of camp during the summer and works to develop programming and build the seasonal staff team during the off-season. She holds a BS in Parks & Recreation Management and is currently pursuing her MS in Youth Development.
Our guiding principle is learning to live together. We believe that the appreciation and understanding of other people and our environment will result in lasting values, ideals, and friendships. By learning to care for each other and to communicate openly, camp becomes a valuable growing experience.
At Camp Nicolet, every camper is a winner! Individual achievement, support of one another, and the spirit and enthusiasm of giving one's best effort are at the heart of Camp Nicolet programs.
