Our Summer Camps Rock!

The Audubon Center of the North Woods (ACNW) offers a variety of youth camps – something for everyone!  Our camps have a focus on wildlife, nature, challenge and outdoor skills. Experience the great outdoors and make memories that last a lifetime!

All of our camps are overnight, residential camps with indoor lodging. ACNW provides great accommodations, wonderful scratch-based meal service, and a top-notch staff and activities to provide the best outdoor camp experience around.

In June and July: Rocks, Ropes & Rafts (entering grades 6-8), Ways of Wildlife (entering grades 5-7 ), Outdoor Explorations (entering grades 5-7).

ACNW has been providing environmental and outdoor education programs since 1971. Our focus is on developing an understanding, ethics and responsibility regarding the environment and the role of humans through formal and informal experiences that link nature and humans.

Need-based partial scholarships are available.

Camp Facilities

Most of our campers will be lodged in our Crosby Lodge - built in 1997, it holds 14 dorm rooms; each room sleeps up to 8, featuring solid wood bunks and private bathroom facilities. Campers are separated by gender and camp staff sleep in same building. Occasionally, with our smaller capacity camps, our campers will use our Lowry Lodge - a split level building with 5 dorm rooms; each room sleeps up to 6, featuring solid wood bunks and shared bathrooms (separate boy’s and girl’s multistall) on the lower level.

Our 535-acre lakeside campus, with over 7 miles of trails, holds a variety of indoor and dispersed classrooms and we focus on being in the great outdoors.

Camp Staff

Our experienced, highly-trained staff are all certified in First Aid and CPR; some are certified Wilderness First Responders.
