Our Philosophy is to provide the best of all worlds to your child. In an extraordinarily safe environment, under the supervision of exemplary staff, your child will experience cutting edge activities led by experienced professionals. Campers experience independence by selecting their morning specialties, afternoon electives and even some of their evening programs. All of this fun, excitement, growth and discovery takes place in one of the most beautiful, natural settings on earth at a summer camp that values respect, kindness, determination, courage and creativity. At Pali the opportunities to develop meaningful friendships abound.

SPECIALTIES chosen weekly!

Each morning, campers join their friends for fun, learning and adventures by choosing from our list of one and two week specialties. One-week sessions are designed to introduce campers to new activities, ideas and experiences. This activity packed week allows campers to dive in and develop solid skills

Two-week sessions gives campers more time to explore their chosen specialty and further develop their new-found skills. Whether it's a concert from the Rock Star campers or a stunt show by the Hollywood Stunt crew, each child will participate in something special.

Electives - Chosen daily!

Each afternoon, your child will participate in three fun-filled activity periods. Their biggest problem will be CHOOSING from our mind-blowing electives. If your camper is not getting the activities of their choice they're not at Pali!!!

After an incredible morning spent enjoying one our 17 amazing specialties, campers can either rev up the excitement or chill out by devising their own afternoon schedule. Every morning, campers get to choose their afternoon activities in our 100% individual, free-choice elective program.

Each afternoon campers get to choose three full hours of activities from over 50 different activities, from Paintball to Mani's and Pedi's, Motor Sports to Aussie Cooking, free swims to soccer or our ever exciting Quad Zip lines. The choices are endless. The fun’s inevitable!

At breakfast each day, a camper will select his/her activities using the very latest technology (iTouches). Once a camper selects his/her classes for that afternoon, the camper automatically put on an attendance roster. Our incredible counselors will help the campers, if needed, in making their selections.

As a camp, we have the ability to tailor the availability of classes based upon the specific interests of the campers in any given week.

For example, if a camper selects riflery for their first period, that is full due to safety regulations, the camper can automatically put themselves into the next available class. NO WAITING LISTS! The camper will then select an alternate activity among the many offerings for their first period.

In this instance, we would increase the number of riflery periods available to the campers between 9 hours to 15 hours per week to accommodate the camper's needs.

Our afternoon activities include (but certainly not limited to) all the activities shown to the right.

Nighttime activities - Chosen nightly!

The fun is far from over when the sun goes down. With group activities including Casino Night, Themed Dances, Pandemonium, Campfires and Midnight Delight! Campers can't help but have a great time!

Each Friday night we end our amazing week with our camper's favorite activity... the Pali Showcase! Rock stars, actors, and dancers put on a shown that will not be forgotten. Filmmakers and actors screen the movies they've created. The stunt crew demonstrates Hollywood-style stunts to amaze the crowd. Pali's fashionistas present a runway fashion show. This night is filled with entertainment, laughter, and standing ovations!

Your camper will achieve their best under the exceptional supervision of our highly qualified staff. The Pali experience develops confidence, self-esteem and independence through experiencing some of the most thrilling and unforgettable activities on the planet. Each specialty is designed to electrify your child's innermost passions and challenge them to master new skills. Your child will develop great friendships while living in close-knit cabin groups where staff leaders foster mutual respect, teamwork and effective communication.

Camp Facilities

Pali Overnight Adventures provides our campers the very best in camp accommodations. Each cabin houses 10 campers and two staff members. They features solid wood built-in bunks, radiant floor heating, full bathroom & shower facilities, as well as an unlimited supply of our pure mountain spring water.

Camp Staff

If we had to choose one word to describe every member of the Pali Adventures staff, what would it be? Probably "EXTRAORDINARY." Luckily we don't have to settle on just one word.

In the past few summers, Pali Overnight Adventures has had over 68% returning staff from previous summers. This is an amazing number, when we only invite back the very best staff. Whether returning for an eigth summer at Pali or having joined the team in more recent years, all members of the Pali staff have been chosen after successfully completing a multi-phased hiring and training process, including a series of interviews, behavioral and personality assessments, detailed background and references checks and random drug testing to ensure only that the best and the brightest are ultimately chosen as role models and leaders for our campers.

Staff Training
Pali Overnight Adventures runs a 14 day staff training before each summer, which is double the industry standard! All members of our staff complete an intensive training and development program, which includes CPR and First Aid certification, group case studies, conflict resolution classes, child psychology seminars and interactive programs to add to their ability to lead, supervise and relate to campers of all ages. Specialty program leaders and staff are also selected for their extraordinary degree of expertise - from national certifications, to years of hands on experience, impeccable references and so much more. Their excellence and professionalism ensures the highest quality experience and the most powerful learning environment for Pali's specialty campers.

Andy Wexler, Founder & Executive Camp Director
More than 20 years ago, while finishing his Degree in Economics and International Relations at UCLA, Andy Wexler had a dream. He talked about creating the ultimate summer camp combining the community, role models and traditions he had experienced as a child at camp while providing the most cutting edge, exciting and engaging activities available anywhere.

It began as a day camp, every day was an adventure. Andy and his carefully selected staff brought campers to all of the best activities being taught and supervised by the best experts in each field. With happy parents and thrilled campers, and after completing his MBA at USC with a specialization in Interpersonal Relations, Andy expanded our camp programs and began Pali Overnight Adventures, acquiring our majestic site and setting upon the challenge of building the ultimate summer camp experience.

Over many years, he has led the dramatic expansion of our facility with many new cabins to house the continuously growing number of campers, additional cutting edge activity venues for our new and unique specialties, and newly constructed all-camp program areas like our 400 seat amphitheatre. His vision for Pali remains constant after more than two decades - the best staff, expert activity instructors, the benefits of a traditional summer overnight, an extraordinary facility, all combined with the most cutting edge specialty programs on the planet.

Pali Adventures Summer Camp Director Ian Brassett
Ian "Gunner" Brassett has a lifetime of experience at summer camps, from his early years at an East Coast camp, his tenure as a head counselor and then senior program director at Pali, to his current and ongoing role Summer Camp Director. In addition, through his strong affiliation with the American Camping Association - conferences, leadership roles, trainings - he is intensely focused on ensuring that every aspect of our staffing, facility and programs exceed all international standards for safety, programming and overall excellence. Ian and our senior leadership team dedicate themselves throughout the year to designing and fine-tuning all aspects of camp to ensure the ultimate summer experience for your kids. During the summer, his leadership, energy and magnetic personality are a hallmark of the Pali Experience.

Pali Adventures Summer Camp Assistant Director Daniel Hammond
Daniel "Hammms" Hammond has spent six summers at Pali Adventures. A certified school teacher from Australia, he spends his days working closely with our specialty directors and activity instructors to ensure that our 17 specialties and over 50 electives run safely and on-time. Daniel is one of our most popular staff members, having earned the highest distinction of Counselor of the Year in 2008. One of the hardest working staff members of Pali, Daniels is very approachable and always willing to help make sure that the campers get the activities of their choice! Daniel is available to the campers at each meal and can commonly be found teaching rugby on the field.
