Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp

Through a diverse array of experiences, our campers enjoy learning about themselves, others, and the world around them.

Our adventures include activities that will help campers develop leadership qualities, self-confidence, moral character, vital social skills, healthy living habits as well as knowledge of their environment, culture, the arts, and many sports.

Our dedicated and highly trained staff will ensure each camper a safe and fulfilling summer experience through low staff to camper ratios and individual attention.

With such a wide range of activities throughout the week, campers will find each day to be a new adventure whether staying with us for a week or the entire summer!

At no extra cost campers will enjoy activities with our specialty staff who have special training in gymnastics, sports, art, dance, environmental studies, swimming, theater, and team building. At Aviator Summer Camp, campers enjoy a fun filled summer as they experience new activities on a daily basis and make new friends.

Camp Facilities

Aviator Sports and Events – located within Floyd Bennett Field at 3159 Flatbush Ave. – is an 800-acre decommissioned airport, which is part of Gateway National Recreation Area. With more than 1.5 million visitors annually, Floyd Bennett Field continues to be a tremendously popular New York destination.

Housed in a former airplane hangar and featuring soaring ceilings and an architectural style that is rich with the history of aviation and modern life, Aviator Sports & Events Center inspires, excites, and motivates. The facility includes sports, recreation, and events spaces, as well as a full-service fitness center, gymnastics, and meeting and events rooms. The outdoor facilities include two multisport outdoor turf fields, as well as numerous outdoor fields and large event spaces.

* 170,000 square feet of total indoor events, athletics, and recreation space for individuals, families, and groups
* 20,000 square foot field house (indoor hardwood courts and indoor turf fields)

Camp Staff

A program and a director is only as strong as their staff and a staff is only as strong as their training. I have received certification in leadership building and training specifically to developing a childcare staff. My Master’s Degree in General Psychology contained an emphasis in employee selection, training, and satisfaction. This background has aided me in building quality staffs consistently for both camps, afterschools, and academic institutions. My staff will receive top rate training in child management, group facilitation, emergency procedures, leadership, best practices, child abuse prevention, as well as first-aid and CPR. I look to empl0y individuals who genuinely care for children and offer a wide array of experiences to your programs. At Aviator you will find a staff that consists of teachers, athletes, proven leaders, and individuals with a desire to develop our children as well as themselves.
