COME FOR THE ADVENTURE…STAY FOR THE FRIENDS!

Lakefield Camp International has been a leading choice for summer campers since 1985.  Each summer, campers from Canada and around the world join together for fun, adventure and learning.

Lakefield Camp International has it all – sports, lakefront, comfort & fun. Sail across the Lake Katchewanooka, learn how to play guitar, master your mountain biking skills...and so much more. For those campers looking for something different, sign up for our Wilderness Education Programme or participate in the ropes course. And, for campers whose first language is not English, we are pleased to offer ESL classes. So, don't wait! Come join campers from across Canada and around the world for a unique summer experience that you are sure to remember for years to come!

Our campers live in twin or triple rooms, divided by age and gender, in a modern school residence on the grounds of Lakefield College School, a prestigious Canadian private boarding school. Spacious common rooms and lounges as well as complete washroom and shower facilities are available. Meals are eaten buffet-style in a modern dining hall.

Our campers are never bored. They receive five 1-hour activity periods daily and are given the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of water, land and art activities. ESL instruction and Wilderness Education Programme are also available. All activities are instructed and supervised by dedicated camp staff.

Water Sports: Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Windsurfing, Swimming, Fishing

Court & Field Sports: Mountain Biking, Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Ball Hockey, Beach Volleyball

Specialty Programmes: Arts & Crafts, Dramatic Arts, Dance, Music/Guitar (introductory), Theatre, Ropes Course

Scheduled Excursions: Participants receive a full day shopping excursion to a shopping centre in the Greater Toronto Area which operates once per 4-week session.

Optional excursions: Optional excursions are offered to all campers at an extra fee. Excursions offered are dependent upon session dates and duration. All excursions are fully supervised by camp staff and include transportation and admission costs. They may include excursions to the Niagara Falls or Canada's Wonderland.

Wilderness Education: We offer an optional Wilderness Education Programme for all campers. Campers who choose to participate receive 10 hours of instruction per week and study a variety of topics such as: Map Orienteering, Environmental issues, Wilderness living and survival, Animal and insect exploration, Native Canadian stories and history, Nature discovery journals and current societal concerns.

Language Instruction: ESL is available as an option for international campers as well as Canadian campers whose first language is not English. 10 hours per week of ESL are taught by qualified instructors. ESL comprises 2 of 5 activity periods daily.

LIT Programme: Campers who are 17 years of age are invited to apply to participate in our Leadership Programme. This programme is designed to provide young people with an opportunity to develop awareness of social responsibility, while nurturing their individuality and self-confidence. Participants gain hands-on experience and develop strong leadership skills.

Our Staff: The high quality of our language, sports and activities programmes is further augmented by our staff of sensitive, dedicated and professional instructors and counselors. They truly care about each student and ensure that students receive the attention and care needed to make their stay great.

Transportation: We offer flexible session dates and optional transfer services from Toronto, Montréal or Québec City. Lakefield Camp International has it all!
