Friendly Pines Camp, est. 1941, is a privately owned, residential summer camp for campers ages 6-13. Friendly Pines is non denominational and is based around the camper's involvement and enjoyment of our over 40 different activities. We are located in the cool pines of Prescott, AZ; a short 90 minute drive north of downtown Phoenix. Located on approx. 110 acres of forest land we are able to house over 200 campers each session along with 75 staff members. Friendly Pines hosts a wide variety of activities; some of our most prominent programs are horseback riding, waterfront sports, challenge course with both low and high ropes, climbing and outdoor exploration and adventure. In addition to these programs, campers can choose to participate in some of our other activities such as target sports, pet care, jewelry making, crafts, drama, sewing and many many more. Campers stay for two weeks at a time and we offer three separate sessions to choose from; two of which are two weeks in length and one at 2 weeks and 4 days. During their stay, campers choose e their own activities and create their own schedule of what they would like to learn about and participate in while at camp. Our staff are extremely well trained, and all have passed a comprehensive background screening and drug test prior to camp. Campers live in the cabins with approx. 7 others within months of their same age and grade. Friendly Pines will be entering our 70th season and have maintained the very beliefs and values which we were built on. Friendly Pines fosters independence, encourages creativity and gives children a summer experience unlike any other and one that is sure not to be forgotten.
